“The government appears offended by the attitude of banks that accumulate profits while citizens are faced with terrifying increases in their loan installments,” said the SYRIZA MP
The SYRIZA MP commented on the government’s contacts and the statements of Kyriakos Mitsotakis about the banks Efi Ahtsioglou.
More specifically, he stated:
“The hilarious tragedy “Mitsotakis government against banks” continued today with the television appearance of the finance minister.
The government appears offended by the attitude of banks that accumulate profits while citizens are faced with terrifying increases in their loan installments and “calls” them to come to their senses.
The same government which has long functioned as a legitimizing mechanism for the accumulation of surplus profits in oligopolistic interests at every level, in energy, in basic necessities, in banking.
The same one that legislated the complete freedom of banks in its bankruptcy code and the out-of-court mechanism, which abolished all protection of the first residence, which allows the funds to operate in complete disrepute.
The same one that excluded small and medium enterprises from the low-interest loans of the Recovery Fund.
This show doesn’t move anyone.
A government that has the political will legislates protection measures, sets rules, imposes real taxation and an extraordinary levy on the unfair profits of oligopolies”.
