ND: SYRIZA is trying to entangle two disparate things

Reply to his announcement SYRIZA for the case of MEP Maria Spyrakis issued by New Democracystressing that the main opposition party is “trying to conflate two disparate things”.

More specifically, the ND announcement states:

“SYRIZA tries to involve disparate things to create impressions. Ms. Spyrakis’ case has nothing to do with Qatargate. Ms. Spyrakis herself has stated that she accepts the request to waive her immunity, in order to make it clear that it is an administrative dispute regarding an allowance of her former partner and that she herself has no financial dispute with the European Parliament. We understand the oppositional despair of SYRIZA, but let’s wait for the control of the competent authorities”.

Earlier, SYRIZA had made the following announcement:

“Once again, the Belgian authorities show what it means to investigate cases of corruption and fraud, in contrast to the feeling of injustice and the continuous cover-up in Greece of Mr. Mitsotakis. We assume that Mr. Mitsotakis will not pretend that he does not know Ms. Spyrakis, like Ms. Kaili, and will expel her from the ND. The elites prove to be consistent only in corruption and dragging the country inside and outside its borders.
