The new round of confrontation started after a publication by Euractiv – What do SYRIZA and PASOK say, what does the government representative answer
It causes fierce political confrontation Euractiv publication, according to which they were under surveillance by the EYP MEP Giorgos Kyrtsos and journalist Tasos Telloglou. On the occasion of the publication, both SYRIZA and PASOK-KINAL issued announcements in which they ask for explanations from the government, with the government representative responding that the investigation of the issue is in the Judiciary.
In particular, in his statement, Mr Mr. Economou notes: “Our firm and clear position is that the Greek Justice, which we support and trust, with the full assistance of the public authorities, has already undertaken the investigation into the monitoring software and issues related to the operation of the EYP. The country has institutions, laws and rules. The truth will shine and any responsibilities will be justly attributed only if the legal procedures are respectfully followed. And this is the responsibility of all institutions. The so-called “political management” of matters of justice and the attempt to interfere in its work in any way is the first step of diversion and extra-termism, in which SYRIZA has a rich past. Greece will remain a state of law, despite the desperate efforts of those nostalgic for totalitarianism.”
The announcement was made earlier of SYRIZA, which stated the following:
“Mitsotakis should answer what the national security reason was that the EYP was monitoring Kirtso and Telloglou – The Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court instead of researching the providers is it preventing ADAE?’
The democratic diversion that Mr. Mitsotakis is attempting has no end. According to the revelation of the European website Euractiv, a team of the Anti-Corruption Commission in its investigation at Cosmote found yesterday that the mobile phones of Mr. Kirtsos and Mr. Telloglou have been monitored by the EYP.
After the confirmed monitoring of Hatzidakis, this is another episode in the serial diversion of Mitsotakis, who must finally answer to the Greek people, without putting them on their feet like last week in the Parliament:

How is it possible that the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court, instead of rushing itself to investigate the providers, allegedly obstructs the investigation by the constitutionally competent Independent Authority?
Responding to the government spokesman, the PASOK- KINAL notes: “It is indeed honorable the effort of the Government Representative to baptize the fish as meat and to divert the interest of public opinion elsewhere.
However, instead of repeating the same political arguments, we call on him to take a public stand on the alleged intervention of the Supreme Court prosecutor, Isidoros Dogiakos, in the investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Commission following the requests of MEP Giorgos Kirtsos and journalist Tasos Telloglou.
Mr. Mitsotakis, following in the footsteps of his predecessor, uses the “arms of power” to hide the truth.
