Regarding the banks, the minister said: “Banks are independent and the government cannot impose a commercial policy on them by law. For the first time, the banks are paying out of their own pockets, thanks to the efforts of Finance Minister Christos Staikouras.”
Finally, he emphasized to Mega that controls throughout the market are daily and fines are imposed where violations are found.
