The Minister of Tourism emphasized that the total revenue from tourism exceeded 18 billion euros.

Our relationship with the Ministry of Finance is excellent, we are very happy to help the society from the surplus of tourism, said the Minister of Tourism, Vassilis Kikilias, speaking on the show Kalimera with Giorgos Autias.

He noted that in October tourism revenue reached 1.5 billion euros, 3.3% more than in 2019.

He emphasized that the total income from tourism exceeded 18 billion euros.

Mr. Kikilias said that the income has no ceiling, “I want to see tourism in all the Greek Regions, we still have a lot of scope” he said characteristically.

He also underlined that the tourist traffic proves that the lengthening of the season has become a reality, not only for the well-known destinations, but also for smaller ones, such as Samos.

As for the elections he said that only the prime minister knows when they will take place, while regarding the possibility of cooperation between SYRIZA and PASOK he said that “divorces and marriages are determined by society, they are not arranged behind closed doors”.

“The vote of the citizens will determine the developments” he added. He emphasized that the prime minister behaved institutionally and is going to elections at the end of the 4 years.
