The child and family support structure “Children’s Umbrella” of the Municipality of Pavlos Melas, at Thessalonikithe president of PASOK-Change Movement visited Nikos Androulakis.
During the visit, Mr. Androulakis entered the class of young students and participated in their interactive games.
He was informed by psychologists and special education teachers about the actions of the “Children’s Umbrella”, which are aimed at children with mental and sensory difficulties, members of financially weak families and immigrants.
The structure’s programs focus on addressing learning difficulties and social inclusion. They include, among other things, occupational-speech therapy, counseling for parents and guardians, but also educational support with lessons given to teenagers by mathematicians and philologists.
I was very happy to be next to the children, the special education teachers and the psychologists
of the “Children’s Umbrella” structure in the Municipality of Pavlos Melas.
Welfare services must be our priority so that no child experiences social discrimination.
