The two ministers commented on the Spiegel fold and fired shots at the opposition official

“Shots” against SYRIZA were fired after Citizen Protection Minister Takis Theodorikakos and Immigration Minister Notis Mitarakis after Spiegel’s “apology” for the “dead Maria” in Evros.

With a post on social media, the minister commented on the folding of the German magazine Der Spiegel

Mr. Mitarakis reports that the German magazine, after a thorough investigation, recognizes the mistake and permanently withdraws the articles about the supposedly dead Maria on an island in Evros. The Minister of Immigration and Asylum then calls on SYRIZA and the leader of the Official Opposition to withdraw their announcements on the specific issue while wondering if the SYRIZA MEPs “will apologize for dragging the country internationally”.

Theodorikakos: Spiegel apologized for the alleged “dead Maria”, SYRIZA continues to hide

Citizen Protection Minister Takis Theodorikakos also gave his own answer after Spiegel’s “apology”, via Twitter, stressing that “the Official Opposition continues to hide”.

Takis Theodorikakos’ post in detail:

“Even Spiegel is apologizing today for what it wrote in August about the island of Evros and the alleged death of the 5-year-old girl. After all, the involved NGO had done the same. Unfortunately, the Official Opposition continues to hide.”
