The president of PASOK-Movement for Change visited the “Children’s Pentelis” on Wednesday
The “Pendelis Children’s” hospital was visited on Wednesday by the president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, from where, referring to the acute problem of the lack of medicines, he called on the government to immediately control exports and insisted that the participation of low-wage and low-pensioners should be reduced in the drug market.
The “Pendelis Children’s” hospital returned to normal operation after the creation of a vaccination center last winter, PASOK-Movement of Change also reminds. As it was pointed out to Mr. Androulakis, “Paedon Pentelis” faces an understaffing problem.
In detail in his statement, N. Androulakis underlined:
“Despite the anxious efforts of doctors and nurses, the National Health System is in a very difficult situation. And here, in our visit to Paidon Pentelis, it was clearly seen that there is a lack of staff and more logistical infrastructure is needed. And, in the midst of all this, the issue of a lack of drugs in the market arose.
We believe that the government should immediately carry out export control. And, of course, in this very difficult situation of the economic crisis and the increase in the cost of living, the participation of low-paid and low-pensioners in the pharmaceutical market must be reduced.”
And in the political “because of this”, the president of PASOK-Movement for Change noted: “These are political choices for a just society. As long as New Democracy does not take decisions in this direction, it leads to a new increase in social inequalities at the expense of the middle class and the weakest Greeks.”
