The reaction of the municipality of Athens is caused by an announcement by the municipal faction Open City, led by Nasos Iliopoulos, which makes known an appeal to cancel decisions of the Economic Committee of the municipality, which were taken recently and concern, among other things, meals for children in schools, the heating of the municipal swimming pool , but also medicines for strays! In fact, the municipality of Athens notes in its announcement that the Open City does not hesitate to undermine even vital functions of the municipality.
The announcement of the municipality of Athens is as follows:
“The municipal faction “Open City” led by Mr. Nasos Iliopoulos, announced after “a lot of trouble” the appeal to the Decentralized Administration of Attica, in order to cancel the decisions of the Economic Committee of the Municipality of Athens, taken during the meeting of December 27 2022.
In an attempt to oppose the Bakoyannis majority, SYRIZA and the “Open City” do not hesitate to undermine even vital functions of the municipality, which were concerned with the specific decisions” it states in a statement of the Municipality of Athens and continues:
“It is indicative that the decisions approved by the Financial Committee of the municipality included the feeding of the children of the Music and Art School, the heating of the swimming pool in Serafio, food for the beneficiaries of T.E.V.A., personal protective equipment for the employees in the Municipality and even veterinary medicines for small strays.
“Open City” urges the Decentralized Administration of Attica to proceed with the cancellation of all of these, in order, as it hypocritically proclaims, to “restore legitimacy”.
THE DECISIONS WHICH SEEK TO ANNUL
Specifically, at the meeting of December 27, the Financial Committee of the Municipality, among other things, approved the following:
– The Protocol of Quantitative and Qualitative Receipt of the Monitoring and Receipt Committee for the “SUPPLY OF PREPARED FOOD (MIDDLE) FOR THE FEEDING OF THE STUDENTS OF THE MUSIC SCHOOL OF ATHENS” from 10.11.2022 to 30.11.2022 and
– The Protocol of Quantitative and Qualitative Receipt of the Monitoring and Receipt Committee for the “SUPPLY OF PREPARED FOOD (MIDDLE) FOR THE FEEDING OF THE STUDENTS OF THE ART SCHOOL OF ATHENS” from 10.11.2022 to 30.11.2022
– The Protocol of Final Receipt of the invoice number 370/21.12.2022 of the company “NUTRIA AE”, due to a price adjustment of the economic object of the contract entitled “SUPPLY OF FOOD AND BASIC MATERIAL SUPPLY ITEMS (SUPPLIES) WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE RATING AND BASIC OPERATIONAL PROGRAM MATERIAL SUBSCRIPTION FOR THE EUROPEAN AID FUND TO THE NEEDY (T.E.B.A.) FOR THE NEEDS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ATHENS 2018-2019”, within the framework of the Operational Program of Food and Basic Material Contribution of T.E.B.A. /FEAD 2018-2019, OPS/MIS 5029653.
– The formation of a three-member Monitoring and Receipt Committee for the “NATURAL GAS SUPPLY TO THE SERAPEUI KOLYMBITERIO BUILDING COMPLEX OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ATHENS”. (A.P. 358033/20.12.2022).
– The formation of a three-member Monitoring and Receipt Committee for the “SUPPLY OF VETERINARY MEDICINAL PRODUCTS FOR THE PROTECTION OF STRAIGHT SMALL ANIMALS”
