The amendment for the workers of the “Help at Home” program was unanimously accepted
With her votes SW the draft law of the Ministry of the Interior “Multilevel governance and risk management in the public sector” was passed. All the opposition parties declared against the bill, in principle.
“Because two polls were released today. And indeed, the elections are fast approaching, I wish you to continue exactly like this, everyone. My wish is that you go that way. ND increase in both polls, widening gap, between ND and SYRIZA, fall of PASOK with the opposition line he has. We still have two months. I think you are doing extremely well and we will all be anxiously awaiting the results of the polls, that beautiful afternoon, when we will watch the exit polls on our televisions and I am sure that they will give the right direction which will be the order to Kyriakos Mitsotakis, for a another four years”, commented the Minister of the Interior, Makis Voridis, shortly before the curtain fell on the debate.
In relation to the Mechanism of Multilevel Governance, the Minister of the Interior stated that now in a systematic and organized manner, with documented evidence, the overlapping of responsibilities will be identified and that the mechanism will operate on a permanent and continuous basis. He also stated that the first issues that Multilevel Governance will deal with will be responsibilities in cases of natural disasters, water management and relations between decentralized and regional self-government. “We will not wait for the system to be fully operational in order to start working. The information system will greatly improve the performance of the Multilevel Governance system, but we will work in these three fields”, said Mr. Voridis.
The amendment for the workers of the “Help at Home” program was unanimously accepted.

The amendment for the procedure for determining the minimum wage, for the year 2023, was voted by ND, SYRIZA, PASOK-Movement of Change, Hellenic Solution. KKE and MeRA25 voted against.
The Minister of the Interior referred to the amendment on governability in the municipalities, pursuant to the decision of the Council of Ministers. “If after a month we find that there is a problem of governability, what should we do? Should we wait when the elections will be held? And during this time chaos in the local government? To listen to the political forces to position themselves”, said the Minister of the Interior and clarified: “I am in full agreement with the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece and it is in full agreement with the Union of Regions of Greece. We will follow, in every detail, how this transfer of responsibilities develops, which we are doing to comply with the decision of the Council of Ministers. If we find malfunctions, in the effective operation of the Local Government, I am telling you from now on, I will re-transfer the responsibilities to the Economic Committees and the Quality of Life Committees, respecting the thinking of the CoE: for imperative reasons of public interest”.
It is obvious, he insisted Minister of the Interiorthat the government will not let the local self-government collapse, because “SYRIZA experimented with the simple analogy”.
In relation to the amendment for workers in the “Help at Home” Program, Makis Voridis said that the government is implementing a commitment, at the behest of the prime minister himself, who wanted to regulate the issue in a specific way, in order to ensure the jobs. For the 163 workers who remain outside the provision of the amendment, the Minister of the Interior stated that many of them do not have formal qualifications at all, some do not have credits and therefore a legal regulation that can cover the specific issue is not visible.
