“I’m speaking schematically. I have a volume, small volume, all the messages, all the conversations via messages”
Speaking on the Thessaloniki radio station Status 107.7 and on Dimitris Venieris’ show, the businessman’s lawyer, Andreas Loverdos, spoke about dozens of text messages in possession of Christos Kalogritsas regarding the case of the 2016 television licenses and the the fact that Mr. Kalogritsas filed a new sms, the sender of which is allegedly Nikos Pappas.
“This is the sixth text message that my client has submitted, the other five were submitted to the Criminal Preliminary Examination Committee of the Parliament and are already in the case file.
This is exactly the same, the sixth one, and I have another 200,” emphasized Mr. Loverdos, for which he noted that he will never present them, because “in this case, I am not a politician, I am a lawyer, and I do what I have to do based on my client’s orders.”
“I’m speaking schematically. I have a volume, small volume, all the messages, all the conversations via messages.’
Mr. Loverdos refused to reveal what emerges from the content of the conversations as well as to answer the question whether the sender is only Nikos Pappas.
He also noted that it is at Mr. Kalogritsa’s discretion whether these messages will “come out”, explaining at the same time that the prosecutor cannot demand them despite the fact that he mentions it publicly.
He also emphasized that the secretary of Mr. Kalogritsa, Ethalia Diamanti, insists on what she mentioned in her testimony, and that the lawsuit filed by Mr. Pappas is absolutely unacceptable because she never accused him of taking money.
