Letter from the chairman of the Independent Authority to the chairman of the committee – What the SYRIZA statement says
The president of the Independent Authority submitted a request to the Institutions and Transparency Committee of the Parliament to be convened in order to be held accountable for the actions of ADAE. As announced by ADAE “the Authority for Ensuring the Privacy of Communications, honoring its constitutional mission and responding to the obligation of parliamentary accountability, submitted on January 17, 2023, through its President, Christos Rammosrequest to the President of the Institutions and Transparency Committee, Mr K. Bura to convene the Committee. The request that was also communicated to the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. K. Tasoula, concerns the information of the body in relation to issues of public interest, which go back to the competences of the Authority”.
After Rammos’ letter, SYRIZA issued the following announcement:

Following the letter from the President of the ADAE requesting to inform the Parliament about the findings of its investigations, the President of the Parliament must immediately and without delay set a meeting of the Institutions Committee.
Any attempt at obstruction by the governing majority no longer makes any sense.
The truth – whether some people want it or not – is certain to be revealed and the Greek people will learn who and why Mr. Mitsotakis watched through his parastatal mechanism.
