Mr. Petsas stressed that “we are expanding the fence to shield our borders”

Some uncritically adopted it fabricated publication against Greece about the dead girl in Evros, the deputy minister of the interior, Stelios Petsas, reported to SKAI and the show “Kalimera” with George Autias.

“It is unacceptable, whether political forces or individual persons, to immediately adopt such fabricated issues in order to damage the image of Greece abroad and exploit some micro-political benefits at home. It is unacceptable, he must be isolated and everyone must apologise, with Mr. Tsipras first. He had already drawn his conclusion, he had condemned Greece and was trying to gain any petty political benefit from this national issue,” added Mr. Petsas.

Referring to visit of Theodorikakos to EvrosMr. Petsas emphasized that “we are expanding the fence to shield our borders” and that “over 1,000 traffickers have been arrested in 2022.”

For Erdogan’s threats against the prime minister, Mr. Petsas noted that “Greece is not threatened by anyone. All of us give the answers to these challenges in one word: We do not give in to our sovereign rights. And in our sovereignty we are united, one fist. So, our shield is our unity. Our Armed Forces, our International alliances, International law. We will never be redefined by any threat.”

For increase in the minimum wage, the deputy interior minister emphasized that “the minimum wage and wages will increase. It was the prime minister’s commitment and his commitments from 2019 to 2023 were all met. So the commitment for the next period is that wages must increase.”

“All economic issues are the property of the Prime Minister, it can be seen from his positions, he has an opinion not only on macroeconomics but on the very simple everyday things that concern citizens, minimum wage, pensions, issues that have to do with everyday life. The Prime Minister is asking for real power from the people, which is the independent election of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to do all that we call action. The best wages go through trust. The prime minister inspires confidence in Greece and abroad and on this confidence we will build the best salaries”, he added.

Regarding the elections and possible collaborations, Mr. Petsas asserted that “I am convinced that Kyriakos Mitsotakis will be comfortably independent. Broader consensuses can be formed after the election result but not before the Greek people have spoken. There is no possibility of cooperation with SYRIZA”.
