What the former mayor of Athens and PASOK state parliamentarian says in his post – Movement for Change
With a post on social networks, the PASOK – Movement for Change Member of State Giorgos Kaminis announces the lawsuit he filed to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens regarding the possibility of “indirect” monitoring of his phoneas his close friend, with whom he maintains regular communication, has been named in publications as a target of monitoring by the EYP.
“The wiretapping scandal is not only about the immediate victims: those individuals whose privacy was brutally violated. It also concerns those who were indirectly affected, [ ] i.e. those who, for as long as a person was being monitored by EYP, talked or communicated with him. I also belong to these “reflexive” victims” writes Giorgos Kaminis in his post.
As Mr. Kaminis mentions, the main reason for the lawsuit is the judicial conviction of those responsible, but his act also has a symbolic character: to highlight the government’s attempt to downplay the seriousness of the case and prevent the revelation of the truth.
“In the face of this unprecedented anti-institutional behavior, those who feel that they are personally affected by the wiretapping have a duty to remind and remind the rulers that they will not allow this case to be forgotten,” concludes the MP of PASOK – Movement for Change.
