Regarding the case of the 38 migrants in Evros last August after the new revelations about the way the alleged death of the little girl was staged and which have caused a new political confrontation, the former SYRIZA MP and former minister spoke to the Thessaloniki radio station Status 107.7 Kostas Gavroglou.

Asked to answer the question why the official opposition party has not apologized for the fake news it had adopted for the case, Mr. Gavroglou said:

To the remark that the German Spiegel “took down” the posts about a dead child in Evros, Mr. Gavroglou replied that: “Spiegel took it down because it wasn’t sure if the responses he received from Greece were serious and documented rather”.

Referring to the testimony of the Syrian refugee who described in “Kathimerini tis Kyriaki” what exactly happened, speaking of the staged death of the child by a German influencer using make-up, the former minister noted: “I don’t know how proven this is. “Kathimerini” will allow me to say it, it does one potato after another”.

“The potato made by Spiegel, was because the reports were not – according to Spiegel always – substantiated, it makes a very big difference.”
