“However, he did not find half a word to say about the increase in private debt and the explosion of installments on bank loans”, emphasized the SYRIZA press representative
He commented on the statements of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis the press representative of SYRIZA, Popi Tsapanidou.
Mrs. Tsapanidou referred to the “enlightenment of society”, to “profiteering and income reduction”, while emphasizing the loss of purchasing power.
In more detail he stated:
“Mr. Mitsotakis considers the extreme impoverishment of society an achievement and thinks that some insufficient vouchers, which actually come from VAT surpluses, will save him politically.
He remembered after a year of profiteering and declining incomes to talk about wages when in his days:
– households with incomes up to 750 euros have lost 40% of their purchasing power
– the minimum wage has already lost 20% of its purchasing power – and that’s after whatever increases were made
But he did not find half a word to say about the increase in private debt and the explosion of installments in bank loans, which today even the consistent borrower sees a loan installment increase up to 300 euros overnight.
Finally, regarding the investment grade that we would supposedly get immediately after the 2019 elections, we remind Mr. Mitsotakis that he has postponed it 12 times and now he remembered that SYRIZA is also to blame for this personal failure of his. At least he is beginning to understand that Mitsotakis and investment grade are concepts that will never meet.”
