The rapporteurs of Hellenic Solution, Antonis Mylonakis and MeRA25, Maria Apatzidis, during their presentation yesterday in the Parliament, supported the motion of no confidence against the government submitted by Alexis Tsipras.
The rapporteurs of Hellenic Solution, Antonis Mylonakis, and MeRA25, Maria Apatzidis, spoke in favor of the motion of no confidence against the government, accusing it of “establishment, anti-democratic methods of illegal surveillance” and arguing that after the evidence presented by the president of ADAE, Christos Rammos must give concrete answers.
Mr. Mylonakis spoke of a “gloomy day for democracy and the political system with what was heard from some ministers” and emphasized that “the prime minister himself contributed to what happened tonight, which leads to division and is of an old party concept .
“We’ve heard of barking dogs, political crooks, howler monkeys. And I ask ND. If it was the Golden Dawn party, would it make any difference? None. This is a humiliation of democracy and parliament.
They are not ashamed. They have ridden the rod. They think that they will reign forever and will not count on anyone,” said Mr. Mylonakis and added:
“It is not reasonable for the prime minister to state that the motion of no confidence is welcome and that he does not seek conflict but comparison. Is that the point? The comparison? And not for the prime minister to answer for the surveillance of even the leadership of the army? I would expect him to say that what Mr. Tsipras and Mr. Rammos say is not true.”
“The prime minister must come and apologize because Mr. Hatzidakis and the Armed Forces were being monitored. Were they being done in the name of national security? How is it possible to monitor the one who serves national security? It is not possible for the government to set up a parastate within the EYP with tentacles everywhere,” he noted.
Furthermore, Mr. Mylonakis defended the actions of the president of ADAE, Christos Rammos, pointing out that he is the head of a constitutionally protected Independent and testified what he found.
“We call on the government to come and explain. And I repeat that he must go to elections as soon as possible because the toxicity that exists harms both the homeland and the Greek people”, concluded Mr. Mylonakis.
“We, as MeRA25, were not founded to oppose ND or SYRIZA, but to provide a comprehensive solution. Today on the agenda is “yes” or “no” at Mitsotakis SA. On this, our vote, our position, could not be clearer. Not to the Mitsotakis government. Not to Mitsotakis S.A.,” said the special buyer of MeRA25, Maria Apatzidis.
As he said, “the government has heaps of scandals on its back” while he accused it of “authoritarianism, power mania and drunkenness and bulimia of power”.
“Mr. Mitsotakis had ministers and the Armed Forces monitored, hiding behind reasons of national security. But he himself is a danger to the security of the country and this has now been proven. And here today, we are called to answer a specific question and not a general and vague one. Should this government continue to govern? Yes or No;” he reported.
He also accused the government that “with delusions and with the logic of character assassination, it is trying to destroy ADAE, which was just doing its job properly”, as he said.
Addressing the governing majority, she noted that “she has both the knife and the melon” and called on the ND MPs not to allow Mr. Mitsotakis to drag them into a pit and to decide whether with their vote they will become accomplices and accomplices of.
“There is life after Mr. Mitsotakis. Don’t underestimate your intelligence. Blow the whistle and save your future or you will lose both your dignity and your future”, concluded Ms. Apatzidis.
