Rejection of the motion of no confidence: The “fund” that ND and SYRIZA make

SYRIZA’s motion of no confidence was voted down, with New Democracy recording no losses and the opposition as a whole lining up against the majority.

Is the wiretapping feud over?

In no case. According to many in both camps, it is expected to peak. The ruling faction may wish to focus on the work it has done and on the economy, but they know well that Koumoundourou will persist.

The conflict continued outside the Plenary Chamber on the occasion of the question addressed by Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Alexis Tsipras, how did he know who were the monitored “six» since the letter of the president of ADAE did not contain names.

They prove, therefore, in the most official way that Mr. Tsipras gave names to Mr. Rammos before any investigation by ADAE and not Mr. Rammos to Mr. Tsipras. Mr. Tsipras misled the Parliament by mentioning names which were not contained in Mr. Rammos’ letter. Really, how did these names reach Mr. Tsipras and SYRIZA? How was Mr. Tsipras aware of the specific telephone numbers of these persons? Through which route exactly? Maybe from dirty networks?».

By SYRIZA they answer that Alexis Tsipras he did no more than select some persons whose names had either been published or had been “photographed” in the press.

For inquiry to ADAE those he deemed important to national security were given. And as party sources point out, it was confirmed by his persistence, as it turned out that six public figures – officials were under surveillance by the EYP.

The two parties make their fund after the three-day debate and the positions of their political leaders.

Government officials commented that in the three-day debate, with high-level positions from ministers and parliamentarians and culminating in his speech Kyriakou Mitsotakisit was possible to make a comparison between the four years of the SYRIZA-ANEL government and the period of the ND government.

Economy, foreign policy, rule of law entered the discussion and the opportunity was given to analyze the policies promoted and compare them with the disastrous actions of the government 2015-2019.

What other executives were commenting on is that the issue of monitoring was put in its proper dimension, in a purely institutional way. With well-documented legal arguments, it was analyzed by both the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister Panagiotis Pikrammeno why the way in which ADAE acted is not correct.

At the political level, the issue ends here“, they emphasized, adding that “Justice now has the floor». What they note, of course, from the majority’s side is that it was possible to establish once again that the governing majority is a mess.

From Koumoundourou they emphasize that Mr. Mitsotakis confirmed his guilt, as he did not answer any of the questions put to him for three days and exhausted his arguments only in distractions.

They stick to the fact that he did not say a single word about the questions put to him by Mr. Tsipras about the feasibility of monitoring the leadership of the Armed Forces and Mr. Laios and Mr. Alexopoulos about the flow of money from the 15 billion armament programs .

It is obvious that the issue of surveillance will be at the top of Koumoundourou’s agenda from now on along with economic issues.

The beginning will take place next Wednesday with the first pre-election rally that SYRIZA will hold in Peristeri. Patras and Thessaloniki will follow.

The prime minister will be in Eastern Attica during the week and the cabinet will meet on Thursday.

Nikos Androulakis in his statement mentioned in relation to the positions of Mr. Mitsotakis and Tsipras. “What are dirty networks after all? Could it be that the former accomplices of Megaros Maximos are today’s informants of SYRIZA? In any case and as far as we are concerned, we will not let practices outside the European framework become public policy»
