The Minister of Education underlined that 96% of the student allowance has already been paid

“96% of the student allowance has already been paid” the Minister of Education said to SKAI and the program “Kalimera” with Giorgos Autias Niki Kerameos, pointing out: “The Ministry of Education had paid the relevant amounts to the universities. We did a check to see where the individual payments are.”

Referring to the wiretapping issue, Mrs. Kerameos accused the official opposition of lacking arguments. “Because there is a dearth of arguments, this intervening three days gave a first class opportunity. The opposition has nothing to object to for the future, such as e.g. what will he do if he wins the election. It muddies systematically. There is not the slightest indication that the Prime Minister did the thing he is accused of. The official opposition has no arguments, it is mudslinging,” said Ms. Kerameos.

“The official opposition leader claims that he has names that the prime minister does not have. Yesterday it was revealed in Parliament that Mr. Rammos’ letter had no names. Mr. Tsipras had the names… How did Mr. Tsipras have them? Something that the country’s prime minister doesn’t have?”

Regarding the issue of school bullying, Ms. Kerameos emphasized that “we have doubled the number of psychologists and social workers. We have institutionalized the school life advisor. The goal is for the children to share something that concerns them, whether it concerns themselves or a classmate. We are bringing a new bill that puts other regulations and other measures such as the electronic platform, which will provide the possibility even for anonymous complaints by students. Because there are students who are afraid to speak.”
