How Erdogan involved Greece in the F-35 program – New attack on Sweden for NATO membership: “Don’t try unfairly”

A fierce attack on the opposition for the F-35 through our country was launched by Recep Tayyip Erdogan as reported by SKAI’s Istanbul correspondent Manolis Kostidis.

The Turkish president has attempted to “backfire” on the opposition coalition’s promises that without Erdogan in power, Turkey will return to the F-35 fighter jet program, claiming they are giving up from Turkish sovereign rights and “greet those who are systematically enemies of Turkey”.

“Look at the situation they have found themselves in the opposition. They say that they will return to the F-35 program, which, however, has conditions for concessions from our sovereign rights… In essence, they are welcoming those who are systematically enemies of Turkey. They declare that they will give up efforts to protect our rights in the Aegean and thus send greetings to Greece,” he said.

New attack in Sweden: “Don’t try unfairly”

The Turkish president has launched a new attack on Sweden, sticking to his intransigent position on its accession to NATO.

“We are closely monitoring the developments regarding the expansion of NATO…. Sweden! Don’t try too hard. As long as you allow my holy book the Koran to be burned, torn up and this happening under your protection, we we will not say yes to your joining NATO”.

He made it clear that Ankara now separates the question of Stockholm’s accession to NATO from that of Helsinki. “On the subject of Finland, our opinion is positive, but on Sweden it is negative. Know that,” he explained.
