At the funeral of the 29-year-old sergeant major Mario-Michael Turoutsika, in Tripoli, the president of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, will attend today, accompanied by the former Minister of Defense Vangelis Apostolakis.
The present will also be given by President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulouand the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The funeral service for the deceased 29-year-old pilot will be held today at 10:30 am. in the Holy Church of Prophet Ilias of Tripoli. As announced by the General Air Staff, his burial will take place in the cemetery of Agios Ioannis Pikerniou.
Tomorrow Friday, in Nevrokopi, the funeral of Squadron Leader Efstathios Tsitlakides, the 31-year-old captain of the fighter that went down, will be held. The government will be represented by the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Panagiotopoulos. The President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, will also go to Nevrokopi to attend the funeral of the captain.
