As major infrastructure project for the entire countrycharacterized the Finance Minister Christos Staikouras road constructionBralos – Amfissa” as part of the diagonal road axis “Lamia-Itea-Antirrio”.
Mr. Staikouras attended the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for signing of the tender contract of the project in question and made the following statement:
“I am particularly happy to be at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport today, for the signing of the tender contract for the construction of the road “Bralos-‘Amfissa”, as part of the diagonal road axis “Lamia-Itea-Antirrio”.
This is an important infrastructure project for the whole country, especially for Central Greece, which is now becoming a transport hub, with the completion of the – national and European – road and rail axes, together with the completion of the E65 and the unblocking of part of the road axis “Lamia- Karpenisi”.
The specific project, which was joined by the Greek government as a public project of national importance, with funding from national and European resources, is starting to take shape, in terms of economic efficiency and social reciprocity.”
“And for this reason I want to thank and congratulate my good colleague the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Karamanlis, for the important efforts he makes for the progress of projects in the territory, for the benefit of society, the economy, regional development . The results vindicate him.
The specific road axis is part of the international road network “E-65” and is the connecting axis between the PATHE and Ionia Motorways, serving routes from Central and Northern Greece to areas of Western and Southern Greece. Its completion means safer, faster and more comfortable traffic, interconnecting regions and cities, as well as facilitating transit trade and transport, stimulating local markets and growing economies.
