Yesterday’s meeting between the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, caused discussions in Turkey.

Mr Erdogan saw Mr Blinken at Ankara airport, as he visited the earthquake-hit areas in Antioch a short time later.

In fact, Mr. Erdogan was without a tie, triggering various comments, as reported from Istanbul by SKAI’s correspondent, Manolis Kostidis, who pointed out that the last time Erdogan went to the earthquake-stricken areas, he was wearing a suit, tie and coat.

As for her meeting Blinken – Tsouvousoglouearlier yesterday, it appears that the two sides held parallel dialogues.

Meanwhile, Cavusoglu reiterated that Turkey will not agree to buy F-16s under conditions and that Ankara wants the money back from the F-35 program, from which it was excluded due to the purchase of S-400s.

As for Sweden’s accession to NATO, the message he sent was “let’s see if we can convince the Parliament and our people”.
