The former SYRIZA minister, and current parliamentary candidate in Thessaloniki, wondered if Yanis Varoufakis was seeking his beating because of his party’s poor position in the polls ahead of the elections.
These comments caused the strong reaction of the former press representative of MERA25, Michalis Kritharidis, who requested the withdrawal of Dimitris Mardas from the lists of SYRIZA candidates.
Mr. Mardas, reconstructed and proceeded with the following statement:
“About Varoufakis…
Wrong questions, mistakes and positions that may lead to wrong approaches or conclusions, may exist in many subjects. We are not afraid to admit them, correct them and apologize… This is how we improve, politics is promoted and not only that…”
