Letter to the Political Secretariat and the Ethics Committee of SYRIZA – PS was sent by Pavlos Polakis ahead of tomorrow’s party meeting. The SYRIZA member of parliament indirectly apologizes for his posts that led to his exclusion from official opposition ballots and his referral to the party bodies and declares that he takes full responsibility for the actions that led to his referral to the Commission Ethics after the relevant decision of Alexis Tsipras.
In his letter, Mr. Polakis sets the tone significantly and talks about “misunderstandings on both sides and a heavy atmosphere in our friendly relations, and for that I take the responsibility that belongs to me”. He ends by noting: “I am sure that every comrade in the common struggle recognizes that any mishandling does not stem from anything else, but from my anxiety to rid the country as quickly as possible of a government that every day that passes us goes back decades.”
