“Those young people who are voting for the first time, should vote against the system, against the system of profit and exploitation, should vote KKE”, said the general secretary of the KKE
“It’s up to us to make it! Because the tragic events of the last few days have highlighted through the great tragedy, through the sadness and anger, which quickly became an organized struggle, a small part of what all those who project themselves as “powerful” fear: The enormous power of our people” , pointed out at a youth gathering in Thessaloniki, on the theme: “It is not the time of silence – It is the time of the voice and the struggle – With the KKE for the life we deserve!”, in the “WE” multipurpose hall, the General Secretary of Central Committee of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoubas.
The General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE, among other things, pointed out that the gatherings “showed the drive, the ingenuity, the willpower of tens of thousands of young people all over Greece who took to the streets to demand justice for their dead. To make “NEVER AGAIN” a reality and their cause, but also to claim, to fight for all those things that slowly and torturously filled the glass of anger and indignation for so many years.”
Mr. Koutsoubas invited the young voters to come to the polls. “Now, a lot of young red votes. Those young people who are voting for the first time should vote anti-systemically, against the system of profit and exploitation, vote KKE”, he said and emphasized that “our people and especially the new generation have a great opportunity this year. This time, after the elections, let those less people be counted and come out! Don’t let them get the “cookie cutters” and the votes to build the next anti-popular government”.
The current system and its governments, he noted the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE, they turn the youth sometimes into an army of the unemployed and sometimes into an army of wandering summer workers in various tourist paradises, which are built on top of the working hell that the workers live. Referring to the new couples, he said that they hesitate for a long time before taking the first step, they feel unsupported in the new life they want to build, since everything they need is treated as a cost.
Dimitris Koutsoubas emphasized that our country can have a better future by presenting his proposal to the young people. “Today there are all those possibilities, which in the hands of another power can be exploited, to ensure a permanent and stable job with decent working conditions. To create cheap, modern, popular housing for everyone, without the ravens of the funds over our heads and the risk of evicting the people. To provide modern, cheap, safe mass transport for all the people with a modern transport network in the big urban centers and not to endanger the people even in cities like Thessaloniki, where the right to travel has become a ping pong ball between in the anecdote of the subway and the buses of the OASTH, which ignite themselves, at the same time that these means are used daily by thousands of workers, young people, students, pupils”, he underlined.
“We remind that such American drones are stationed at the US base in Larissa. And “whatever…”, he pointed out, referring to the downing of the American drone by Russian forces over the Black Sea, and about the increase in the minimum wage he said: “Youth struggles must be strengthened now that the clouds over the capitalist economy, that the cannons of the big banks are bursting one after the other, that precision and inflation have swallowed the new increase – a travesty announced by the government on the minimum wage before it was even given.”
Commenting on the latest opinion polls, he clarified that young people are turning their backs on ND and SYRIZA and that this “nobody” they declare can gain power, “only if it turns into a decisive, mass vote for the KKE. Against the parties that brought us this far, neither blind indignation is enough, nor painless choices for the so-called “small parties”.
