Turkish Foreign Minister Tsdavusoglu was confronted with harsh terms by his counterpart Soukri during their meeting yesterday and while the Ertogan government seeks at all costs to normalize its relations with Egypt.

As reported by SKAI’s correspondent in Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, several prerequisites for information have “fallen on the table” from the Egyptian side, with the most important of all being the extradition of several members of the “Muslim Brotherhood”.

Considering that the members of the “Muslim Brotherhood” are considered terrorists for Egypt, it is inevitable to draw a comparison with Turkey’s attitude towards Sweden and the former’s request, in particular, to extradite “Kurdish terrorists” from the latter.

In any case, it will be of particular interest afterwards what Ankara’s position will be regarding Egypt’s demands, as Turkey emphatically supported the “Muslim Brothers” for a very long time, a fact that also resulted in the overthrow of Erdogan and Al – Sissy.

At the same time, Egypt also sets “tough conditions” regarding Libya, demanding the withdrawal of Turkey’s military forces from the country and, in fact, the control of Libya in order for the relations between Ankara and Cairo to “develop even more”.

In any case, of particular interest to Turkey is the issue of the agreement on the maritime areas of responsibility of Greece and Egypt, for which Cairo has made it clear that it is not going to back down.

As further developments are expected in the current period, it is understood at every level that Turkey’s attempt to join Egypt alone will not be easy.
