The dismissal of the Minister of Civil Protection SYRIZA requests Takis Theodorikakou, while at the same time with her statement the representative of the party Popi Tsapanidou calls for the Prime Minister to condemn “the minister’s divisive statements”. The reason for the sharp reaction of the official opposition was the complaint by Mr. Theodorikakos that some people, since the summer, want dead to hurt the government.

Mrs. Tsapanidou’s statement follows:

The current wretchedness of Mr. Theodorikakos against SYRIZA – PS, exceeds all limits.

In an unprecedented attempt to terrorize the citizens just before the elections, without a trace of shame and no sense of responsibility, he did not hesitate to declare that SYRIZA – PS “wants dead”.

Mr. Theodorikakos should apologize that during his days the mafia commands his Ministry, which cannot even protect the 12-year-old girl in Colonos and the country has been exposed internationally for police arbitrariness.

And not trying to hide his failure with such vile slander against his political opponents.

We call on Mr. Mitsotakis to take his responsibility, to condemn the deeply divisive and slanderous statements of Theodorikakos and to ensure smoothness on the way to the elections.

Mr. Theodorikakos, after his chilling statements today, cannot remain in the position of Minister of Citizen Protection who will be responsible for conducting the electoral process.

Takis Theodorikakos: Let SYRIZA answer now whether or not it condemns the braggarts and the attacks on the police

Earlier, in the complaint that some people, since the summer, want a dead person to hurt the government, the Minister of Citizen Protection had advanced Mr. Takis Theodorikakos, in an interview with OREN on the TV show “Hour of Greece” by Dimitris Kambourakis and Panagiotis Stathis, stressing that some bigoted leaders want to dynamit the political climate, with the official opposition not finding a word to denounce them.

“Some braggarts, who are guided – because we have really and truly entered the pre-election period – want to shake up the political climate. They want to dynamit it. Some want dead too. They have persistently wanted it for a very long time. They wanted it in the summer too, they wanted it when they said nonsense about the installation of university police in the universities, they wanted it when they told us that we had killed a 5-year-old girl in Evros, they wanted it when they went to blame us for the crime against the 12-year-old girl in Colonos, accusations which they are throwing again now, with very great sloppiness, selfishness and frivolity. They also want it these days at ASOEE. The official opposition cannot find a single word to denounce these braggarts who attacked police officers, who are burning bins, who are trying to dynamit the climate,” he said.

In ASOEE, as Mr. Theodorikakos denounced, “some are planning to build a stronghold of delinquency. We will not allow it,” he said, pointing out that “the Official opposition wants dead.” And he added that in SYRIZA “instead of having a dialogue with positions, they dynamit the climate and throw tons of toxicity”.
He emphasized that there is no police phobia and clarified that the only reason the police officers are being disciplinary is because they disobeyed an order not to pass through the area as a special operation with the MAT was planned to restore order.

Mr. Theodorikakos reiterated that he fully trusts the operational readiness of the police, noting that the order given to ELAS is not to allow any assault and this, as he said, was done. And in the student residence in Zografou where the Albanian gangs that had occupied it were arrested and it was attributed to the students in Thessaloniki and Larissa and in other cases.

When asked about the 12-year-old, he said that the child is protected by the police and the authorities are in constant contact with her relatives. He recalled that the allegations made in the past were not confirmed and asked that the drama of an abused girl not become part of a party confrontation.

Regarding the Fence on the Evros, he said that border security is an absolute priority for the ND and the completion of the Fence will take place because the project, apart from having proven to be the most effective way to prevent illegal immigration, is also a fortification project that strengthens the national security of the country. He called on SYRIZA to take a clear and unambiguous position, while referring to Mr. Papadimoulis and his attitude, he said that it damages our national interests

Referring to the elections, he emphasized that the elections that exist are those of May 21 and called on the voters to give as much power as possible to the ND in order to exclude a government without it but also to be as close as possible to self-reliance, which can secured in a second showdown with enhanced analog. For this reason, no one should think that he will not go to the polls on May 21, emphasized Mr. Theodorikakos.

The simple analog was created by SYRIZA when it found that it was losing the elections, while Mr. Tsipras was twice elected prime minister with an enhanced analog, Mr. Theodorikakos pointed out.
Regarding the Kasidiaris party and Mr. Kanellopoulos, Mr. Theodorikakos said that he never believed that a supreme judge would be found who would accept to lead a party with such characteristics.
