The hypocrisy of the Mitsotakis government knows no bounds.
Just 40 days before the end of its mandate, the government remembered the Development Bank and the role it could play in supporting Greek small and medium enterprises.
We remind Mr. Mitsotakis that the Development Bank was founded in 2019 by the SYRIZA government, precisely to contribute to the development of the Greek economy through the expansion of financing to more businesses.
New Democracy has put the Development Bank on ice since 2019. He left her unused. The microcredit tool that we created so that individual and very small businesses and freelancers can finally access loans on favorable terms also remains unused.
We also remind you that the SYRIZA government created innovative financial tools in the EU, such as the Super Fund for Co-Investments (Equifund), with the aim of the Development Bank using them to expand its actions. That didn’t happen either.
No matter how many pre-election parties Mr. Mitsotakis participates in, the truth is one: The government is strangling small and medium entrepreneurship and preventing the transformation of the production model in a sustainable and fair direction.
