The amendment for the Kassidiari party was submitted to the Parliament by the Ministry of the Interior – On Holy Tuesday the vote – SYRIZA announcement and Voridis response – Field of conflict and Theodorikakos statement
In a climate of intense political confrontation, the pre-election period continues, with the “agenda” being enriched daily with new fronts. The new fields of conflict between the two parties that claim first place in the elections of May 21, arose from the filing of the block amendment for the party of Ilias Kasidiaris and from his statements Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakoswith SYRIZA calling for his expulsion.
On Friday, the government submitted the amendment for the bloc to the Kasidiari party, and on Holy Tuesday it is expected to be put to a vote by the parliament. The Ministry of the Interior and Makis Voridis, in announcing the amendment to the Parliament, emphasized that the purpose of the supplementary amendment is “to strengthen the judicial process, to shield it and make it stronger so that this judicial process has no room for doubt where it end up We do not prejudge, nor do we know what Areios Pagos will say, nor have we spoken to anyone, nor anything related. We just want it to be strong, to have no room for doubt. That is why and in this direction, the strengthening of the judicial crisis, will be the manifestation of our complementary intervention in the provision, which has been established”.
And he continued: “We consider it inconceivable that there is a person convicted of leading a criminal organization, who is impersonating the political leader, the political guide, the political spokesman, the party leader, the apparent party leader. We have said this in our order.”
The Minister of the Interior he added that he sees a debate as if someone expects this legislative will of ours as it was expressed not to succeed. “I would ask, whoever wants this, whoever ultimately wants the result to be the downfall of the Kasidiari party, to tell us boldly with whatever argument they have. I have no objection. We say what we want. We say that this is not conceivable. And we have made a specific legislation and we have reached a framework which we reached after a lot of thinking, after a lot of suffering and after a lot of analysis of a series of data. Obviously, in constitutional debates, everyone has their opinions.”
SYRIZA’s reaction was immediate, speaking with an announcement of “Mr. Mitsotakis’s stunts” and “amendment fiasco”.
“When we warned about the constitutional acrobatics of Mr. Mitsotakis with the amendment for the Kasidiaris party, he together with KINAL rejected the proposal of SYRIZA and voted for an amendment that unfortunately proved to be a fiasco.
A month later and while elections have been called, anticipating the impasse, he is preparing to introduce a new amendment to cover his criminal mistake, but directly interfering with the operation of the Supreme Court and the composition of the judicial body that will decide. However, the only thing he achieves with these constitutional acrobatics is to impart anti-systemic characteristics and inflate the percentages of the extreme right.
In the end, Mr. Mitsotakis not only trivializes the parliamentary process and Democracy, but with his hobbies he turns into the biggest sponsor of the Far Right.
In this travesty, he will take responsibility himself,” SYRIZA said in its statement.
Theodorikakos: Some want a dead person to hurt the government- Tsapanidou: The minister should be dismissed
A big fight between SYRIZA and ND broke out after the statements of Takis Theodorikakos, in the morning show of OPEN. The Minister of Citizen Protection attacked SYRIZA for the events outside the ASOEE and asked the main opposition party to condemn the scumbags, stressing:
“Some braggarts, who are guided – because we have really and truly entered the pre-election period – want to shake up the political climate. They want to dynamit it. Some want dead too. They have persistently wanted it for a very long time. They wanted it in the summer too, they wanted it when they said nonsense about the installation of university police in the universities, they wanted it when they told us that we had killed a 5-year-old girl in Evros, they wanted it when they went to blame us for the crime against the 12-year-old girl in Colonos, accusations which they are throwing again now, with very great sloppiness, selfishness and frivolity. They also want it these days at ASOEE. The official opposition does not find a single word to denounce these braggarts who attacked policemen, who are burning bins, who are trying to dynamit the climate”.
The reaction of SYRIZA was immediate, requesting, through the mouth of Popi Tsapanidou, the dismissal of the minister.
“The current wretchedness of Mr. Theodorikakos against SYRIZA – PS, exceeds all limits. In an unprecedented attempt to terrorize the citizens just before the elections, without a trace of shame and no sense of responsibility, he did not hesitate to declare that SYRIZA – PS “wants dead”.
Mr. Theodorikakos should apologize that during his days the mafia commands his Ministry, which cannot even protect the 12-year-old girl in Colonos and the country has been exposed internationally for police arbitrariness.
And not trying to hide his failure with such vile slander against his political opponents.
We call on Mr. Mitsotakis to take his responsibility, to condemn the deeply divisive and slanderous statements of Theodorikakos and to ensure smoothness on the way to the elections.
Mr. Theodorikakos, after his chilling statements today, cannot remain in the position of Minister of Citizen Protection who will be responsible for conducting the electoral process.”
Popis Tsapanidou’s statement provoked the reaction of the Minister of Citizen Protection, who stated:
“Those:
– who accused us of waking up the children early, when the Police arrested three criminal organizations in the Zografou student hostel
-who never apologized for their provocative smears about murderers about the non-existent five-year-old girl in Evros
– who exploit the tragedy of a 12-year-old abused girl for partisan gain, even though the alleged perpetrators are already in prison
– who constantly attack the Greek Police
– whose political discourse is the definition of artificial division
It is SYRIZA. It never changed. He does not find a single word to condemn the anarchists, who throw stones and molotov cocktails in the center of Athens. They will take
the answer they are owed by Greek men and women on May 21″.
