“Involved our country in civil war and bloodshed?” says SYRIZA in a statement
“At a time when the hostilities in Sudan are raging, with hundreds of dead and with the anxiety for the trapped Greeks growing, the questions about Greece’s indirect involvement in the civil war through the export of the Predator remain unanswered” says SYRIZA in a statement – Progressive Alliance.
“Mr. Mitsotakis can no longer hide and he owes answers. Did Mr. Smyrlis authorize the export of the Predator outside of Madagascar and into Sudan, resulting in it ending up in the hands of the RSF militia? Simply put, the Mitsotakis government implicated, even indirectly, our country in the civil war and bloodshed?” notes the official opposition.
“Is that why he refuses, despite our request to the Parliament, to make public the conclusion of the relevant EDE? Really, what else needs to happen for Mr. Supreme Court Prosecutor to seriously deal with the scandal?” adds Koumoundourou.
“The longer the answers are delayed, the greater the certainty that Mr. Mitsotakis was not only monitoring half of the political system, journalists and the leadership of the army, but also made the country a business springboard for the export of such a dangerous technology” concludes SYRIZA .
