“The case for which the lifting of the immunity of the SYRIZA MEP – P.S. was requested, Alexis Georgoulis, concerns serious criminal offenses and as such must be dealt with primarily by the person controlled by justice. No one else does has given political ramifications but only himself” emphasizes PASOK-Movement of Change in a statement, responding to Mr. Georgoulis.
“The request to lift the immunity of Mr. Georgoulis is the product of an investigation by the Belgian authorities following a complaint made in 2020″ notes PASOK.
“The procedures followed by the Belgian authorities are within their own competence and are not “dictated” by third parties, as implied by some so-called rightists,” reports Harilaou Trikoupi.
“However, there is indeed a political dimension, which we point out:
