The state of health of Recep Tayyip Erdogan is monopolizing the news in Turkey, as after the collapse of the Turkish president, everyone is looking to know what happened to him.

As SKAI correspondent Manolis Kostidis reports from Istanbulthe Turkish media are even talking about a myocardial infarction, news that is categorically denied by the Turkish presidency, which insists that Erdogan is simply overwhelmed by a simple cold.

At the same time, however, Erdoğan also canceled today’s appearances, together with the one at the Akuyu nuclear plant, at the reception ceremony of the fuel that will come from Russia, in which he will participate via video conference.

Other information, unofficial, states that he has a problem with his stomach.

Turkish media: The president is not hospitalized

The situation is divided in the way the Turkish media deal with Erdoğan’s health.

Journalist Melik Yitel, speaking to Haber Global, emphasized that “the director of communication of the Turkish presidency, Fahrettin Altun, spoke, as there was information that (the president) suffered a serious heart attack and that he is being treated in the hospital. This fake news started circulating since yesterday.”

There were rumors that he was epileptic, as well as that he had been operated on the intestine.”

Erdogan is exhausted due to poor polls

However, the former doctor of the Turkish president said that Erdogan was running to catch up with the unpleasant results from the polls.

In detail, Turan Chomez commented: “There is some exhaustion of Mr. President. This intense way of working and fatigue can also bring him new health problems. So it will be good for him to rest. I think the reason Mr. Erdoğan has increased his work rates is the results of the polls that are bringing him and the popularity of the opposition which is increasing every day. If you remember at the beginning of the pre-election period he stated that because of the earthquake he would not hold rallies, that there would be no songs at the events, etc. But then he and his ministers tried to run a big campaign with inaugurations and rallies.”
