by

ND MP and former minister Dora Bakoyannis spoke about the developments in Greek-Turkish relations and the pandemic on SKAI TV and the show “Today”.

Ms. Bakoyannis expressed her concern about the political situation in Turkey, as she assessed that we are facing a great deal of tension.

As he explained, dolphin fights have started inside the country, while they still have an extremely aggressive and revisionist strategy.

According to her, “the rhetoric has remained in the words, whether they will proceed with actions is doubtful because they have problems in their army, with spare parts and other open”.

“Greece is ready to face any challenge, such as the refugee issue that worries us and the whole of Europe,” he said.

He went on to say: “We have built alliances and we have prepared our equipment, which is bothering Turkey. We will not take a step back from International Law “

At the same time, Ms. Bakoyannis described the video with the Turks swimming as ridiculous, jokingly commenting that her grandson does it comfortably on the island opposite Chania. Whoever has done a swimming pool does it “

“It is for domestic consumption in order for Akar to raise any percentage in the polls,” he said characteristically.

On the issue of demilitarization of the islands raised by Ankara, he estimated that he raises the issue because they are looking for arguments, forgetting that these existed 15 and 30 years ago.

“Turkey is not going to search for this phase and they are careful towards Cyprus because too many forces are involved,” he noted.

He called the idea that Ernontan would benefit us in case of his defeat in the elections a Greek fantasy and reiterated that our country is ready but we have our hand open in a possible dialogue with Turkey.

Referring to the pandemic, Ms. Bakoyannis said that she understands the people, who are trying to deal with this situation, pointing out that we will have a very difficult time.

However, she expressed her optimism that “it will pass”.

Regarding the queues that are formed for the test, he said that it is logical since we are in a state of emergency, while he characterized the opening of the schools as correct.

Regarding the fine for unvaccinated 60-year-olds, he stressed that what has been voted will be implemented.

Closing when asked about the possibility of elections, he said “we should listen to the prime minister because he does what he says. Believe in Kyriakos, because when something is said it is true – How at a time when something was said was a lie? “Now the opposite is true,” he noted meaningfully
