The work that Giorgos Patoulis has to show in the Attica Region was glorified in his greeting by Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at the event held for the Report of the project of the Region of Attica.

THE Prime Minister he pointed out the plan for the next day, talking about a greener and more digital Attica and analyzed his vision for a productive Greece.

More detail:

“Mr. Regional Mayor, ladies and gentlemen Mayors, ladies and gentlemen Ministers, ladies and gentlemen candidate MPs, friends, warm congratulations to Giorgos Patoulis and his team for the great work they accomplished these four years.

Tonight belongs to George and the staff of the Attica Region. What I just want to tell you is that the vision of the Region of Attica coincides to a large extent with my vision, personally, for a productive Greece, for a social Greece, for a green and digital Greece, for a fair Greece, for a strong Greece.

Thus, the Region of Attica must also be productive and a series of important projects which were presented today demonstrate exactly this direction. Attica, moreover, is the largest Region of the country, a natural pole for attracting investments. And in this direction, my dear George, many of the important projects that are being launched, especially on the coastal front, will contribute significantly to the development dynamics of the Region.

A development dynamic, of course, which has at its center the fact that the next Regional administration, that is the administration of Giorgos Patoulis, will have to manage 1.6 billion euros from the PEP Attica, compared to 1.1 billion .euro which we inherited. It is yet another certification of the excellent work done by the Greek Government, to claim more resources for our Regions.

However, at the same time, we want an Attica that is more social. I attach great importance to the investments made in our school infrastructure, the investments made in health, the investments made in accessibility.

We want an Attica that is green and digital, all the investments made in the issues of environmental protection and waste management are of great importance, as we are moving towards a model where the “burying” of garbage will be a thing of the past.

The extremely important projects that are being carried out in Eastern Attica in terms of wastewater management, come and solve many decades of backlogs, the anti-flood projects are so critical to facing the challenge of Climate Change.

A digital Attica, which will come and connect with the important actions of the Government which are launched on this front, an Attica which will be fair, especially regarding the issues of supporting the most vulnerable.

You have done a great job in terms of the social footprint of the District, which should be continued and should be made even stronger.

And, of course, an Attica that will be stronger, safer, with an emphasis on civilian protection, with an emphasis on policing issues, so that all citizens of Attica, regardless of where they live, feel safe in their neighborhoods.

This, then, is the vision of our country, the vision which will be the goal of the second four-year period of the New Democracy – this is why the citizens will be asked to vote, for the future, not for the past – I am sure that it will come in line with the vision of the Attica Region. So that the important work that has been started is not incomplete.

As in our homeland, so in the Region of Attica, the point is to go forward and not turn back. I am sure that the answers will be given by the citizens in both the national and local elections.

Be well, thank you very much.

Once again, warm congratulations for the great work that has been done.”
