In his statements to the media, Mr. Androulakis emphasized:

“In western Macedonia, in Grevena, there is a huge demographic issue. We have an obligation as a state to support new couples with tax incentives. We have an unfair tax system. We have a duty to support society and pensioners. That is why we propose a new EKAS for 350,000 pensioners and of course the abolition of the personal difference.

Energy is also a very critical issue for the region. The green transition must be done in a fair way so that farmers, breeders, processors, municipalities and cooperatives have the opportunity to prioritize renewable energy parks in order to have low production costs for the next 15 years.

In this way, a truly fair transition will take place, which will not lead Greece to new regional and social inequalities and high costs that will undermine our production in the coming years.
We need policies of substantial regional development and not focused only on the powerful interests that support the current government of the New Democracy”.
