SYRIZA-PS described the report of the PEGA Committee of the European Parliament as “a stumbling block for Mr. Mitsotakis”.

SYRIZA notes that “the report concludes what we all knew. That EYP – Predator – Mitsotakis is the same center of illegal monitoring and exploitation of malicious software as a tool of political power and control in the hands of the highest political leadership of the country. In short, a regime that did not hesitate to violate every rule of law to enforce its nefarious purposes.”

At the same time, he states that “the report concludes with 12 recommendations to Greece, among which to reverse the legislation that places the EYP under the prime minister, to withdraw the cover-up laws passed by the Mitsotakis government in recent years, to respect independent authorities such as the ADAE, to invite Europol for an investigation in Greece, to refrain from political interference in the judiciary”.

“The question is one. Does Mr. Mitsotakis commit in view of the May 21 elections that he will comply with these recommendations? Alexis Tsipras has already announced these changes. Can Mr. Mitsotakis say the same?”, he comments and adds: “Before deciding, the Greek people must know if they will again have a prime minister who insists on trampling democracy and writing the European perspective on his old shoes of the country or a prime minister who respects the European rule of law.”

Finally, he points out: “What is certain is that one day before the ND fiesta in Zappeion for Europe, Mr. Mitsotakis has managed to appear next to Orban. Congratulations to the seniors too!

On May 21, the Greek people, the democratic citizens, those who do not tolerate this decline will say “This far!”.
