The assessment that with the re-election of Erdogan in Turkey, Greece will not have to face any particular problems, apart from the aggressive rhetoric and the increased demands, was expressed by General Fragos Fragoulis, speaking on the show Today, on SKAI.

Erdogan will continue his policy, General Frangoulis said, however he added that apart from the rhetoric and the increased demands and threats, he has not made any other moves, apart from Hagia Sophia, that indicate hostility.

In fact, he added that from the Ecumenical Patriarchate it is said that several of their issues have progressed.

“We will not have particular problems, but we must be in dialogue with them, the MOUs must exist. The issue is for us to have a consensus and a national strategic plan, because Erdogan may not reach a heated episode, but he may reach the UN Security Council.”

Regarding Erdogan’s dynamics, he said that it is impressive that out of the 11 regions affected by the earthquake, ten gave him a very high percentage, but on the other hand, it is also the sluggish reaction of the opposition.

As Aksener used to say to Kilicdaroglu, general Frangoulis noted, “you don’t pull. You try for so many years and you don’t succeed.”

“Erdogan is rallying half of Turkey, that cannot be disputed. All this is a surprise for us, but not for Turkey” commented General Frangoulis.
