The overturning of every forecast for the results of the May 21 elections and the triumphant victory of the NDit worked like a domino for every scenario related to the day after the elections, speeding up every constitutional process and as everything shows the setting up of the second ballot which seems to be coming closer by calendar and probably on June 25.

The beginning of the end for any possible cooperation, started from the same percentages of the ND that almost touched the absolute parliamentary majority, even from the first ballot box of simple proportionality, overturning all estimates and predictions. This reversal, according to the new data but also according to the information from the party staffs, accelerates the constitutional process of the exploratory orders that the leaders of the first three parties in parliamentary power will receive today.

This morning the official Minister of the Interior Kalliopi Spanou will deliver the official results of the May 21 election to the President of the Parliament and Mr. Costas Tasoulas will in turn go to the Presidential Palace to deliver them to the President of the Republic. Afterwards, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou will in principle call the president of the ND Kyriakos Mitsotakis who was the winner of the elections and will hand him the first exploratory order in order to take the necessary actions.

According to information, the prime minister will contact the rest of the political leaders in order to inform them of his intention to claim the vote and trust of the citizens again, in order to achieve a self-reliant and stable government for the next four years 2023-2027.

In this light, and given the overwhelming victory of the ND in yesterday’s polls, according to information and in Koumoundourou, they believe that there is not even a basis for any discussion in the context of the exploratory orders for any possible cooperation.

The same assessment prevails in Harilaou Trikoupi and consequently both Mr Alexis Tsipras as well as Nikos Androulakis based on the report, they do not appear willing to keep the investigative mandate that the President of the Republic will hand over to them based on the Constitution.

A fixed milestone in this subversive election contest remains the opening of the Parliament, which, based on the Presidential Decree issued for the dissolution of the previous Parliament, will take place on Thursday, June 1. On that day, the new Parliament that resulted from the May 21 elections will be formed and the new members will be sworn in. Most likely the next day, on June 2, the Parliament will be called to elect its new Bureau and immediately after that the Parliament will be dissolved again Parliament and the caretaker government that will be appointed by order of the President of the Republic will lead the country to the polls again.

June 25 is the most likely date, since last night the press offices are discussing it. After all, the prime minister himself, during his statement from the headquarters of Piraeus after the triumphant victory, photographed the acceleration of the procedures, stressing that “Without a doubt, the political “earthquake” that occurred today calls us all to speed up the process for a final governmental local solution, so that our country has an experienced hand at the helm as soon as possible. This, after all, was also stated by the citizens, approving our basic choice, the choice of an independent Greece and an independent New Democracy, but also our programmatic position that this is ultimately the only way to implement the major changes that the country needs” .
