“The market has voted for another four-year period of political stability and continued economic growth,” said Mr. V. Korkidis, president of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, regarding the results of the elections.

Mr. Korkidis stated in detail:

“The great victory of the ND gives a clear message for an independent government and a second four-year term. The simple analogy requires collaborations of parties which, however, before the elections the political leaders had excluded, confirming that neither the politicians nor the citizens are ready for this particular electoral system.

The election results emphatically confirmed who the Greeks want to rule the country and that is Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The formation of an independent ND government will have to wait for the procedures of the second elections with the enhanced proportional system, which is better suited to the Greek situation. As for the market, it voted for another four years of political stability and continued economic growth.”
