“If I’ve learned anything over the years, apart from wearing the flag with pride on my lapel, it’s to do my duty,” said the former Minister of National Defense
Former Minister of National Defense Nikos Panagiotopoulos sent a message of thanks to the officers of the Armed Forces, a few hours after handing over his duties to Acting Minister of National Defense Alkiviadis Stefanis.
By posting on his personal twitter account, Mr. Panagiotopoulos emphasized: “I stated four years ago when I took over as Minister of National Defense that I am also a soldier of Greece. This is how I functioned, this is how I felt and I think that the results of this effort are visible and were also reflected personally, but certainly also collectively in the recent elections when society appreciated the great effort to strengthen the country”.
“If I’ve learned anything over the years, apart from wearing the flag with pride on my lapel, it’s to do my duty. Thank you all for your cooperation. I thank all the members of the Armed Forces throughout the length and breadth of the Motherland.”
