The Prime Minister convened a general meeting on the issue of migrant trafficking on the islands of Evros at noon Ioannis Sharmas in the Maximos Palace. In a statement yesterday, the caretaker government indicated that it has approached the Turkish government to coordinate border authorities and prevent illegal crossings.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of State Vassilios Skouris, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vassilios Kaskarelis, the Minister of Citizen Protection Charalambos Lalousis, the Minister of Migration Policy and Asylum Daniel Esdras, the Chief of the National Security Agency General Konstantinos Floros as well as senior officials of the Administration.
