SYRIZA calls for a second phone battle between Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Alexis Tsipras
Debate ahead of the June 25 elections is at the heart of today’s meeting of the Inter-Party Committee which is in progress under the chairmanship of the Acting Minister of the Interior, Kalliopis Spanou.
The parties are proposing a debate between the five party leaders who entered Parliament after the May 21 elections, while SYRIZA is sticking to its original position that there should be two debates: ebetween the five leaders, as requested by the other parties, and a debate between the two political leaders of the first two parties.
Speaking early today on Alpha radio, the press representative of the ND, Akis Skertsos, said: “Today, when we have the inter-party meeting on the issue of the telefight, we are coming with the position that the telefight will take place for all the parties that have been elected since the last ballot.” .
From Koumoundourou they commented: “It remains to be seen whether Mr. Mitsotakis will keep his commitment, so that the citizens can hear and compare the real programs of the two parties that claim the government of the country, or will he try to hide again, so that the comparison of the programs should be done on the basis of the fake news of the Piraeus underground and its propaganda mechanism”.
