Katerini was visited on Friday morning by President of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis.

In his statements, Mr. Androulakis noted:

“The disdainful statements of New Democracy officials about the National Health System underline that New Democracy does not have a priority to deal with the major social issues of our time, such as the regeneration of the National Health System, the recruitment of permanent staff in EKAB and hospitals, the utilization of the Recovery Fund, the inclusion of health care in the heavy and unhealthy.

We have other priorities, we have another schedule. That is why I ask the Greek people, every progressive, every democratic citizen to support PASOK and the Democratic Party on June 25. We are the space that fights for the ideas of social justice, national dignity and we guarantee that we will regenerate the National Health System and build a public education that will give opportunities to all Greek children.

These are the real anxieties of the people, which we embrace and on June 25 we move forward together into a new era.”

To journalists’ questions about small and medium entrepreneurship, Mr. Androulakis pointed out:

“Small and medium-sized businesses both here in Pieria and in the rest of Greece are suffocating. There must be 120 installments to the tax office and EFKA and the Recovery Fund must be utilized so that there is a financial body that will provide liquidity to small and medium enterprises and not only to powerful large companies, as has been the case until now. We must support this archipelago of small and medium enterprises so that the Greek economy can be restructured.

Regarding agricultural production, we are talking about the revision of the ELGA regulation on disasters due to climate change. And of course the interconnection of agricultural and livestock products with processing and tourism.

Our goal is not only to have 20 to 25 million travelers visiting Greece every year, but at the same time to become ambassadors of the processed products of the primary sector and to strengthen our exports. Thus, tourism will give economic strength not only to the islands and some regions of Greece, but to the entire productive economy.

Our goal is the many and good jobs throughout Greece so that Greek children can stay here, create, have families and have a better and more optimistic future”.
