In Regional Unit of Xanthi toured ahead of the June 25 elections, a cadre of New Democracy, led by the coordinator of the election campaign, former Deputy Minister of National Defense Nikos Hardalia and the candidate for Member of Parliament B1 North Sector of Athens, Dimitris Kairides.
During the tour, the executives visited the Municipality of Topeiro and the communities of ‘Avato and Eulalos, Selero in the Municipality of Abdira, the communities of Echinos and Kentauros in the Municipality of Myki and the city of Xanthi. Messrs. Hardalias and Kairides accompanied by the members of the DEEP, the local DIMTO and the politicians of the prefecture, they met with party officials, visited local shops where they talked with businessmen and workers and exchanged views with representatives of the authorities and agencies of the region with the aim of its development.
In his statements immediately after the end of the visits, Mr. Hardalias emphasized: “Village by village, fromAbdera up to Topiros and from Myki to the last mountain villages of Thrace, we meet the citizens and convey to them the programmatic positions of the New Democracy for the next four years. By jointly claiming the development of the place, we ask for the trust of the citizens for the advancement of local societies, always respecting their particularities and highlighting their comparative advantages with the aim of improving the quality of life of the residents. Stronger than ever, more united than ever, more determined than ever, today we all co-shape the Greece of tomorrow that we deserve. And this starts on June 25 by supporting New Democracy and Kyriakos Mitsotakis”.
For his part, Mr. Kairides said: “Development concerns everyone and no one should and cannot be left behind. It primarily concerns the most vulnerable and sensitive areas. It concerns our Thrace, with its enormous potential expanded by the recent geostrategic realignments.
I have known the city and its entire area since I was a child Xanthi. As a Member of Parliament, I visited it many times. As a coordinator in the Inter-Party Committee for the Development of Thrace I worked for two years to resolve a number of issues concerning it. And we continue, steadily, boldly, forward.
On June 25, the people of Xanthi, together with all Greeks, choose the path of development and projects. They are giving a strong mandate to ND and Kyriakos Mitsotakis to change Greece for our own good and that of our children.”
