As part of her visits New Republicin view of the June 25 elections, a group headed by the former Minister of Tourism and candidate for Member of Parliament of Athens, Mr. Vassilis Kikilia and the former Deputy Minister of Interior and candidate for Member of Parliament for Eastern Attica, Mr. Stelios Petsa, visited the island of Rhodes.

During the tour, Mr. Kikilias and Mr. Petsas accompanied by the candidate MPs of the prefecture, the president and the members of the DEEP met with party officials, visited local shops where they talked with businessmen and workers and exchanged views with representatives of local authorities and agencies, conveying the government plan of New Democracy for the next four years.

Messrs. Kikilias and Petsas visited the region of Afanto, worshiped at Holy Monastery of Panagia Tsampikathey spoke with residents in Archangelos but also with professionals in the commercial center of Rhodes while they were guided around the old town of Rhodes where they discussed with residents and visitors and spoke together to executives and friends of New Democracy at an event in Kremasti.

In his statements immediately after the end of the visits, the former Minister of Tourism and candidate for Member of Parliament of Athens Mr. Kikilias emphasized: “In Rhodes we had the opportunity together with the co-candidate Stelios Petsas and with all the executives of New Republic, to talk to citizens, people from the local market, merchants, shopkeepers, tourism and catering workers. We want the New Democracy to be strong, to continue on the path of the restoration of the Motherland. Because it’s not enough just to reach the top, you have to fight to stay there. Just as Rhodes succeeds in tourism, which breaks one record after another every year, with more profits, with more arrivals, with more income in the local economy.”

For his part, the former Deputy Minister of the Interior and candidate for Member of Parliament for Eastern Attica, Mr. Petsas, made the following statement: “We visited Rhodes together with Vassilis Kikilia, where we had the opportunity, together with our party officials, to discuss with citizens and shopkeepers, to thank them for the nationwide first place they brought for New Democracy in the May 21 elections and plan the brightest day ahead for the Dodecanese and our Greece! Their warm welcome from Archangelos and Afandou, to Rhodes and Kremasti, gives us strength and fills us with responsibility. We continue steadily, boldly, forward for a self-reliant Greece, with a self-reliant New Democracy”.
