The governments of the so-called first host countries, such as Greece and Italy, have a leading role in them. The proposed new Pact seals the burial of the Geneva Convention on Refugees and signals the further intensification of repression against the uprooted.

The policy of intense repression, with Frontex, visible and invisible fences, confinement in modern concentration camps, deportations and inadmissible lists of so-called “safe” countries, is what magnifies the activity of the traffickers’ rings and pushes the uprooted on terror trips.

We call on the Greek people to stand up against the “normality” of the daily news about the dead and missing in Evros and the Aegean. To strengthen his struggle against the involvement of the country in the imperialist designs and the war, which are made for the profits of the imperialist robbers and cause the death and uprooting of millions of people. To claim the essential protection of the uprooted and the abolition of all the unjust framework of repression against them.

In the dilemma “their profits or our lives”, the answer here is only one: People’s lives!
