“We need to work more intensively with our neighborhood to promote economic development, to stabilize these countries,” pointed out the president of the Commission. He underlined the need to strengthen international cooperation “so we need an additional budget for Syrian refugees in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey… For the southern migration route, for the Western Balkans for partners around the world in humanitarian crises and natural disasters and to maintain our capacity to respond to humanitarian crises and natural disasters.”
