In his statement, the Dental Association of Attica“on the occasion of the statements of the SYRIZA state deputy candidate Othona Iliopoulos on tax evasion in the dental sector.

Speaking at an event on Health, Othonas Iliopoulos stated that there is a lot of tax evasion in the dental and medical sectors, and that SYRIZA should take initiatives to digitize the system to deal with it.

As he said, “It’s not a pro-popular measure, it’s not a populist measure… But let me tell you something between us, dentists don’t vote for us, so it doesn’t matter, let them pay something more.”

As the Association states in its announcement, “dentists (…) should not be used as tools in the context of pre-election debates, especially based on whether or not they vote for one or the other party. Any censure against dentists should be proven, on a case-by-case basis, otherwise, it constitutes slander.”
