“It is the prime minister who voted to hand over 90 billion red loans to the funds, while he was promising to be honest,” said the president of PASOK
Violent attack on Alexis Tsipras and SYRIZA was launched by Nikos Androulakis. In an interview he granted to MEGA, the president of PASOK criticized the president of SYRIZA both on the issue of Dimitris Mantzou and on Koumoundourou’s statements
“SYRIZA says that Manzos is the Patsis of PASOK. This is the quality of the ethos of the SYRIZA leadership group, which offends the world of the Left. Desperation makes Mr. Tsipras aggressive. You remember that the first thing he did three days before the May 21 ballot, was to invite the supposedly misguided voters of Golden Dawn, the murderers of Pavlos Fyssas, to vote for SYRIZA. Revealing the selfishness, why he did not vote for the amendment that prohibited the participation of the Kasidiaris in our democratic state.
Now, therefore, he comes again three days before the elections due to his panic – because he is being choked by his hair – to equate Patsis with Manzo.
What is Patsis? A sitting Member of Parliament New Republic, who owns a collection company, which bought 62.7 million euros of “red loans” at a price of 4 million euros. And he likens him to a young man who, before becoming a Spokesperson, working in a firm of many lawyers does a law practice. This lawyer’s act cannot be offset against Patsis” noted Mr. Androulakis and added meaningfully:
“Mr. Tsipras even tells me to remove him from the ballots, when his closest associate was convicted 13-0 by the Special Court as a person involved in the “dirty” game of TV licenses and, instead of sending him home, has on his ballot papers. Is Mr. Tsipras talking about “red loans”? The working material of Mr. Mantzou results from the law, which was voted by Mr. Tsipras. By the same logic, he should have already left the political system. He is the prime minister who voted to hand over 90 billion “red loans” to the funds, while promising “seismachity”, and today he is giving me moral lessons for a young lawyer, who signed a legal deed in a law firm. Its a shame”.
Mr. Androulakis even showed a spot of SYRIZA entitled “Impropriety of funds or protection of the first residence”, and commented: “To see the extent of the hypocrisy and unreliability. “Asydossia funds”. This is said by the party that gave the “red loans” without borrower negotiation criteria – funds. Second, “primary home protection.” Our party voted for the protection of the first home in 2010. We protected thousands of first homes. Tell me, what did Mr. Tsipras vote for in 2010? He voted against it. And he comes to mock the Greek people three days before the elections”.
Regarding the electoral goal of PASOK-Movement for Change, Mr. Androulakis pointed out:
“We took a first big step on May 21. We aspire to take the second big step on Sunday. It’s a worthy fight.”
“I estimate that a critical mass of the Greek people voted out of fear that the worst might come, and not because New Democracy has produced a very good work. Let’s say the figures, which are revealing: 50 billion new debt, external current account deficit bigger than 2010. We had 12% last year, 9% this year. And New Democracy says that “it happens in all countries”. THE Portugal 1% deficit last year, 1% surplus this year. 2/3 of the state’s revenues are indirect taxes, which hit the middle class and the most vulnerable Greeks. And yet another more revealing element is the reduction of real wages by 7%”, Mr. Androulakis emphasized.
“With a strong PASOK on Sunday, we end the mechanism of fearing the worst. In the first phase, we will have a strong, reliable, progressive opposition and in the second phase, a governmental, social-democratic choice of the modern Center-Left” concluded Mr. Androulakis.
Regarding the public confrontation over Thrace, Mr. Androulakis noted:
“We are the ones who united Thrace. THE Andreas Papandreou he broke down the bars of shame in 1995, and then with the Minister of Education George Papandreou – in the next government of Kostas Simitis – we made the law of 5 per thousand. What did this law do? It stopped the huge flow of Greek Muslims studying in the universities of Ankara and Istanbul and they started studying in the Greek universities, with the result that – according to the researches – in 20 years the Greek Muslim graduates of Greek universities in Thrace increased fivefold”.
“There should not be any involvement of a third country, but on the other hand we should deal with these issues sensitively, with institutional interventions and not with adventures for small party interests just before the elections. Because what New Democracy did – the indecency with Ms. Bakoyannis – and what Mr. Tsipras is doing to prevent his MPs from saying something simple, that they respect the Treaty of Lausanne, shows that both are pouring water on a mill dangerous for the country”.
